wow, this still works
I've been extremely busy for the last 8 months. Ok, that is a lie. I hate typing and the fact that I have to type so much at work means I try not to type anywhere else. But I wanted to see if my account still works and say hi to Mike C. He always complains to me that I haven't wriiten anything. So here ya go! Nothing else has changed for me since the last time I was here. I don't know if that's good or bad. I promise to try to come more often. Now that I have a computer at home, I can just start writing whenever I can't sleep. Now, that will be interesting. | | Monday, May 19th, 2003 | | 11:08 am |
season finales
Not that I'm a couch potato or a tv addict, but the two must see season finales are both on Tuesday night. First Buffy the Vampire slayer will be ending it's 7 year run. I'm not actually a fan of the last 2 seasons, but I have to watch this. The second being Gilmore Girls. Rory is graduating from Chilton. How awesome is that!!! Now I just watched the season finale of SNL. I actually liked it. Dan akroyd (who has been known to get on my nerves) was really good. A nice way to end the season (sob). Not much happened this weekend for me. Basically I just cleaned and went to Beckas to watch the Kings lose in the play offs. But a good note, I just met a guy (I know, no guys til I move)But Peter is so gorgous and really nice. He works in SF and often comes into my work. He actually introduced himself to me. I have to remind myself, not to get involved with anyone here. The last thing I need to find a reason to stay here. | | Tuesday, May 13th, 2003 | | 2:45 pm |
Yosemite and my mother
I just got back from a mother/daughter weekend in Yosemite. It was so much fun and so beautiful. The weather was a perfect 65 degrees and it wasn't crowded at all. And there were a ton of cute guys that I could look at at (of course, me wearing sweats and no make up, I wouldn't talk to any of them) I did take lots of pictures, which the digital camera ones are online My Yosemite pictures! The slr pictures will take a little longer. We stayed at the Cedar Lodge where the Yosemite murders took place. We had a freaky night. I stayed in bed all night, yet my mom swears she heard me get up and go to the bathroom. And I was cold all night, yet we had all the window closed and the heater was set to 85. It was a really weird night. My mom is teh greatest, even though it was Mothers day weekend, she bought me a necklace. She said it was "something to remember the trip by" It isn't exactly my taste, but I like it just the same. And for mothers day, I got her some nice earrings and a card that she laughed at (on the front of the card it says, TO THE MOTHER WHO TAUGHT ME ALL ABOUT GUYS, and it has pictures of various loser guys. Open up the card and it says, AND YOU WONDER WHY I"M NOT MARRIED)that card is so true. She tells me that she is worried that I'll end up alone. I just tell her that I haven't met the right one yet.I just haven't told her it is b/c I'm super picky and the right guy will meet my 101 qualifications. | | Thursday, May 8th, 2003 | | 1:34 pm |
I watch way too much VHI
Last night, I watched 3 hours of 100 greatest one hit wonders. I gotta say, I was very disappointed that the Macarena was #1. I loved all the 80's songs. Speaking of VHI and the 80's, I find myself watching every episode of the "I love the 80's" and I believe I have seen '83 twice and '84 three times. Why is it that most things 80's are just so good. Most 80's songs I love to sing along too, and the movies, what a decade for movies. I spent my informative years 3-13 in the 80's. No wonder why I still love the Flashdance look (I'm still in search of the perfect pair of tights with the off shoulder sweatshirt.) | | Tuesday, April 29th, 2003 | | 8:25 am |
My eyes wre dilated pretty much all afternoon, so it was impossible to do any work that requires reading or writing. I hoping to go home early, but my boss is such a tyrant, that didn't happen. But the first part of my eye exam went OK. I did some fun eye tests but of course came the drops. As the dr was putting in the drops, I moved my head and the drops dropped into my mouth. My lip and tingue were numb. It took 10 min for drops to get into both eyes. But I guess my eyes were OK. It turns out I have 20/16 and a stigmatism in both eyes. I picked out some really cute frames. They are tortuise shell shape and brown color. In week, after I get them, I'll take a picture of me in them. | | Monday, April 28th, 2003 | | 8:45 am |
I have an eye appt today and I'm already nervous. I have this eye phobia. I can't handle when people come near my eyes, but I broke my glasses and it's been over a year since I've had one, so I haev to swallow my nervousness. I remember one time I had pink eye, and the dr gave me eye drops. I couldn't put them in. I was shaking to bad and nearly epmtied the bottle without getting any of it in my eyes. I finally had to have two friends help me. One to held me down and the other to put the drops in my eyes. Now, those are good friends. Any way, I'll be sure to let you know if I survive this. 4 hours and counting til the appt. I must do this. I must do this. I must do this. | | Tuesday, April 22nd, 2003 | | 9:36 am |

Happy Easter
My Easter sucked. I was suppose to go to Kristin and John's house for a good old fashion Easter dinner. Erin and Daniel were to be there (I haven't seen them since graduation) and my mom and step dad were going to make an appearance. well, I awoke Sunday morning at 1:00 pm. My alarm never went off, so I missed church as well. The last time I slept in that late was in college. The days of going out and partying til 3:00 am. But that's not all. I awoke with a migraine. Yep, a horrible migraine. I ended up staying bed all day, watching Easter specials on tv. Than my mom called me to find out why I hadn't showed up, and we got into a fight on the phone (when I have a migraine, I'm in a horrible mood) On friday, I went to Becka's house to watch movies and girl talk. Paige came over and the three of us ended up watching the SF Giants game (they are huge fans) and than the movies 8 mile and Muriel's Wedding (which is the Dirty Dancing of the over 25 crowd) We drank so much and Paige ended up the the nickname Cheddar P (from 8 mile). I got home at 3:00 and than I had to get up early Saturday at 7:30 for breakfast with Grandma. I was planning on taking a nap, but I didn't have a chance. I bought a basketball (I lost the last one in the move) and went to shoot some hoops for awhile. Than I ended up driving across the bay to Bezerkley (ok, Berkeley)to hang out with some old college friends. I was tempted to drive by my crushes house, but one, I didn't want to be one, stalker girl and two, he and his gf were probably not home.I really need to get over this guy. He is just no good for me. | | Wednesday, April 16th, 2003 | | 1:41 pm |
Happy Birthday
I want to wish makeitepic all the best for her birthday now that she is out of her teens. Welcome to the twenties!!! Current Mood: giddy | | 9:17 am |
I'm tired of being "responsible". I always pay my credit card payments on time, my car payments, my rent and where does that leave me? With no money of course. So, I decided to Carpe Diem. I spent a load of money on tickets to the white stripes concert. Now, in between being happy, I'll be stressing about being broke. But hey, I'm still young, and I'm gonna have fun. Isn't that what life is about? Having fun? Or is it stressing about money? | | Tuesday, April 15th, 2003 | | 7:50 am |
tired, so tired
George and I went to the Warrior game last night. It was bobblehead night, so we got a free bobblehead. This was the first time, I've eve gotten anything free at any game. I was a little bummed on the way in, b/c the tickets we had were in section 122, but when we found our seats, we were only 9 rows off the floor. We had the best seats possible (with the exception of actually sitting in the warrior bench (which I would be glad to do) or paying $200.00/ticket for courtside seats (which I would NOT be glad to do) We were on the same side as the warrior bench, but up 9 rows and to the right. Between the bench and the basket. So, I could keep my eye on the bench and the floor at the same time. I didn't need to use the binoculars that I brought, but it came in handy for me to check out the, uhhhh shoes and the uhhh score table. Ya, that's what I checked out ;) I gotta tell you, no matter how cute Bobby Sura looks on tv, he looks a hundred times better in person. If I wasn't such a shy dork, I would went over and met him and turn on the moe charm, and... *ok, time to wake up* During the BART ride into Oakland, we finished our sign for Fox Sports net, so I can't wait to watch the game I recorded and see if we are on there. If we are, I'll get screen caps and post them him (along with a picture of my bobblehead) Now, the first half was really boring. It looked as if both teams were just going through the motions. With play off hopes gone, they seemed not to care about the game. But then the Murphy/Rooks fight happened, and you can tell that the warriors were pissed off. You can almost hear the shit that was being spoken from the teams. Rooks put Troy Murphy in a headlock. How cool is that? I really wanted to see some punched thrown (maybe it was the two beers I had that wanted to see the punches) But they started playing like the team they can be, and the crowd was going nuts. I mean, the crowd boo'd every shot from the Clippers and stood and applauding for every shot from the Warriors. But in the end, the warriors just couldn't overcome the first half deficit. But for my first NBA game, I got a free bobble head and I got to see a fight (after seeing 5 hockey games and no fighting there, this was kinda cool) My loot I scored there-the aforementioned bobble head, a warriors hat (in blue, b/c all my girlie hats are tan) and a long sleeved shirt 'cause it was a cold BART ride home. | | Thursday, April 10th, 2003 | | 1:27 pm |
I'm getting fed up
Someone is calling my cell every morning between 10-11:00. The number is coming up unavailable and that person is NOT leaving a message. If said person reads this, please either leave a message or don't hang up when I pick up the phone. It started on Monday and it's Thursday now and I have a call history full of "unavailable". | | Tuesday, April 8th, 2003 | | 8:06 am |
That's right, I'm a sports fanatic
I watched the entire NCAA tourney championship game last night. And I gotta tell you, what a game. Kansas lost by 3 points. Here is my rundown and thoughts of it (and someday when I'm achoring on ESPN, you;ll say "I used to read her thoughts on her LJ journal" hahahaha. Kansas-well, with the seniors on the team, my money would have been on them. But their outside shots were blown and their free throw shots not going in. I think they only made 4, 3 point shots and like less than 50% of their free throws. If they even made half of the free throws they didn't, they would have won the game by score alone (who is to say what would have happened if they did make them). But I was glad to see in the second half, they came back and was only down by 3 points 4 different times, but unfortunetly, they couldn't make up those 3 points. I love seeing teams who are down come back. It makes the game that much more exciting. They did however find a way to get through the Syracuse 2-3 defense and make soem great inside shots and they out rebounded Syracuse. Syracuse-Their outside shots were amazing. They just kept hitting one after another. They took off to an early lead and kept it (soemtimes by the skin of their teeth) It's good to see an underdog take control of the game. During the second half, they seemed to get a little frazzled, but they got it under control and continued their lead. Freshman Carmelo Anthony was on fire and was voted MOP. | | Monday, April 7th, 2003 | | 1:42 pm |
I'm so not into typing anything right now. Do you ever have days, where you force yourself type. I'm just too lazy today. I don't know if it the time change or what. Anyway, I'll post all my crap in public and then f/u with more important stuff on friends only (for the very special people). This weekend was a cleaning weekend. It's about time I cleaned out the crap from my car. It was getting a little gross. Ok, that's my highlight of the weekend. George got Warriors tickets for next monday. I can't wait to go and see hottie Bob Sura in person. I'm debating if I should bring my camera (with the telephoto lens since we are sitting high up) I looked up the camera rules and it says camera are OK with no flash. But we are taking BART to the Oakland Colesuim, so if they won't let me bring my camera in, I'll have no where to stash it. What to do?!? Should I risk it or not. I don't know if they haev a place where I can put it if they don't let me in with it. There is no way I'm going to throw away a $400.00 camera, but I would love to get pics of the game (you know me, camera happy!) | | Thursday, April 3rd, 2003 | | 2:41 pm |
Friendster
Has anyone else signed up for friendster? After hearing everyone rave about it, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. If anyone does have an account, you can add me. Use my e-mail address in my profile here. The Red Sox kicked some D Ray ass. 14-5. Now that's the Boston boys I know. Varitek and Millar had a great game. Doesn't it suck when your life is soo boring, that you have nothign to write about? I need some excitment or even plans. | | Wednesday, April 2nd, 2003 | | 2:38 pm |
Lets add another picture of a hottie. Funny true story, I was watching the Warriors on tv last night (cause the Red Sox were playing in extra innings and I was hoping for a score update on the ticker on the bottom of the screen.) and I noticed a Marc Blucas look a like. So, today I came into work and I was talking to Mike. I mentioned that I watched the warrior game last night and noticed a hottie. Before I could say who it was, he was all, "let me guess, Bobby Sura". I asked him how he knew, and he says b/c of the kind of guys on my desktop, he says the Bobby Sura is totally my kind of guy. MY KIND OF GUY?!?. Sheesh that's pretty bad that my supervisor knows the kind of guys I like. Well here is a picture of this particulary hottie. | | Tuesday, April 1st, 2003 | | 2:11 pm |
Construction woes
The bottom floor of my company building is being remodeled. Unfortuently, that's where my desk is. Everytime I need to go either upstairs or outside, I have to walk through it and the perverted construction workers. The oinly cute guy is not here today, so I can't even flirt with him. On another note, the only cute guy at my work, (lets call him Joe) came into my area with his guitar and played a song for me. I'm starting to kinda like him. It's too bad he works in the other building. Oh well, I'll see him when I deliver his mail to him. | | Wednesday, March 26th, 2003 | | 10:56 am |
I've been reading a blog of an Iraqi who is living in Baghdad. iT is very interesting yet sad. I feel so bad for those innocent people who just wnat to live their life, yet the bombs are dropping down on them. I finally found my favorite poem. | | 9:11 am |
You never know what you had til you don't have it anymore. It is torture to get up at 6:00. The last 3 days, I'm so tired when my alarm clock goes off, that I seriously can't get out of bed. This morning I almost started crying out of frustration. I'm NOT a morning person. I never was and I'll never be. I miss sleeping until 8:30 and being at work at 9;30. This early mornign shift will be the death of me. My undereye bags are so big, that if I was going to fly, I'd have to check them. | | Tuesday, March 25th, 2003 | | 3:46 pm |
